four words: television, hammer, santa clause, flag

Memories of my childhood

I can see all of it in front of me again.
All the things I've seen, places I've been.
I can look through the thin red painted walls,
Dad watching television, reading books about the Niagara falls.
Outside the house the flag flying in the wind
the oven clock ringing, it smells like cookies with mint.
Dad, later working in the garage, swinging the hammer.
Behind the walls, Sammy's studying his spelling and grammar.
This is it all, memories of my childhood.
Me, shy little girl, just about like two foot.
The best memory of it is Christmas every year.
Santa Claus's red coat is burned into my head,
I can see it clear.

Dela I really like this! It gave me a good idea to what it was like to be you as a child I could feel how close you seem with your Dad. I wonder what would happen if you changed "i was just about like two foot" because I don't really understand that part. :P I wish I could read more about your memories.

Dela, I loved reading this! It's so cute about your life memories and like what Jordyn said, I could actually feel how close you were with your Dad. I would love to read more of this kind of writing! I wish there was more. :)
