1.
The rain drips gently
Down from the green canopy
Above ferns and trees.
2.
Abandoned on shore,
Sitting on the sandy beach,
Glitter in the sun.
My Haiku (I think)
By Justin Smith
Gentle and Serene
The forgotten water does sing
Gentle and Serene
The Band-aid
Sticky, gooey, brown
Covering the huge red gash
With a rip it's gone
THE PIT
The crowd is violent
they are thrashin from the tunes
the pit is emence
my haiku, everyone.... here ya go.....
Child
Small Child, lonely, lost
Surrounded by your demons,
Will you defeat them?
Live your own life
You're your own person.
Don't let anyone change you.
Stay true to yourself.
I like waffles
I like to eat waffles,
with syrup and I use a fork,
and I like to use a knife.
Silver
Silver rivers flow
Over jagged ridges of stone
Down into a cave
Of darkness under sun light
Its journey along
The path so long and so down
The silver braids swirl
The cold, uninviting dark
The journey is over
The end is finally here
Silver stops its rush
For it has reached the end
Rainbow
Raining and sunshine,
Splashes of light in the sky
Mixtures of colors
-Katie Hilliard
I wish
She is so gorgeous
I will never measure up
You have just proved that
OH! he's a farmer
Up on the tractor
You will plow all of the fields
Yes I love your tan
Lost
Clinging to her love
Losing all hope that she stored
Weeping, love is pain.
Lauren, I like how descriptive both of your's are. It seems that you really took time to get it nice.
Katie, your's is epic.
Dan you're making me hungry again
Good Food
I like plain cheese cake
because it is so yummy
to eat at midnight.
Teriyaki Please
Would you like a meal?
Onion Teriyaki Please
With Sweet Onion Sauce!
I like Lauren's first one and I like Dylan's haiku
Tears...
Tears come down my face,
I know they will wash away,
I just have to wait.
in the night----
it lurks in the night
it wants to eat all the mice
look out what am i?
My Summer Sun
By Teasha Beatrice
Summer is coming
My life revolves around the sun
I need it to survive
The freezing of day
My midnight dreams of warmth
The sun is coming
i like both of Lauren's a lot. they're very pretty!! i like the first one best..... i love rain in a forest. during spring and summer. fall and winter not so much. anyway, it's very descriptive.
Alicia's is also very pretty. very much so. makes a nice picture.
I like Lauren's first one, because I like the way she describes the rain and the tree, and I like Dylan's, because it paints a picture of a mosh pit
I like Lauren's second one better than her first, because the second one gives me a picture in my mind of a beach. It doesn't have a title so it makes me feel like I can think of any beach at all.
Nicole,
Hey girl I love the one about a farmer and I can totally relate to it I love it!!!
Well Katie, Your poem Rainbow, is masterful. I liked how you say "splashes". It paints a pretty picture!
KHilliard, I love how I can picture the scene and I love how just in those three lines you created a picture
I love Lauren's first Haiku, awesome imagery Lauren!
Katie,
your haiku is so
life like. :]
Philip,
I like your poem a lot it is short but says a lot in the little there is.
i also like Rachel's and Sarah's. both are very pretty, and they are both so true!!!!
Silver- different one........
Silver rivers flow
Over jagged ridges of stone
Down into a cave
Dylan, yours is original. You did a good job describing a mosh pit.
Austo, yours is really funny. Very original.
Kim is so right. I like cheese cake and a midnight snack is always good. Awwwww. Now i want cheescake.
Well Lauren, I really enjoyed reading your second poem. I liked the idea of "glitter". Very Nice.
Nice Haiku Austin!
Kinda makes me hungry though!
~Sarah
Teasha, I love the feeling you gave through your words, It makes me long for summer!
Philip your poem is so true!
I love it!!! :D
PHilip i liked your poem it was very nice and it had a lot of meaning
Brenna's Haiku is very nice, i can picture it.
Lauren's first haiku was also very nice, i can picture the rain dripping and the ferns.
another one, just for the heck of it.....
Falling
Forever falling,
This is what unites us all
We are all falling
i like y the humor
-Austin
lauren, i love both of your poems...they give me a great image and they are relaxing.
Justin, your haiku is beautiful! It makes me think of when I was younger, sitting on the rock that overlooked the small brook on my grandparents’ property. The only problem is, the second line has 8 syllables, not 7.
Katie Boutin, your haiku is true, and it makes me think of ripping a Band-Aid off of a wound. Everyone knows how bad this hurts, and you evoke the pain of ripping off Band-Aids.
Katie Hilliard, your haiku captures the happy, light feeling that you get when you see a rainbow. The simple phrases paint a lovely picture of what a rainbow is.
Nicole, I like how your first haiku deals with insecurity, and it clearly shows how girls feel about themselves and compare themselves to other girls, and always feel insignificant. Your second one shows off the side of you that doesn’t take yourself seriously, and we all love that part of you, especially in your writing.
Lauren I love yours. I can picture the rain coming down and the ferns and trees.
Katie H. I like yours. It's very telling. I can imagine the colors from the rainbow after it rains.
Nice poem Jacob!
I like a mystery!
:]
~Sarah P.
Brenna,
the last poem you posted,
I love it,
and it's so true!
~Sarah
And here is my late offering....
Winter
Wet snowflakes melting
From my mouth puffs of white clouds
Cocoa in my mug.
