Ibo People
Located in Southeastern Nigeria
The population is about 8 million
Most Igbo people carve and use masks, but the function of these masks vary from village to village. They are famous for Mbari architecture.
The History of the Igbo people originated in an area that isnt their original location. They are actually about 100 miles north. Languages are similar between their neighbors in Bini, Igala, Yoruba, and Idhoma. These groups split about 5 to 6 thousand years ago.
The majority of Igbo people are farmers, farming mostly yams. This crop is a time that is celebrated.
