In life, there are moments we might refer to as "golden hours." It's the times where you might meet your best friend, or find the person you want to spend your life with. It might be the moment where you have your first break as a music artist in a tiny bar because you were friends with the owner, or when you hit the ball so far, you were offered a scholarship to a college with a great athletics program. The golden hours are the special moments in your life. It's all what you make it. If you let some opportunities slip by, you might give up some of the golden hours that would've changed your life, however, sometimes letting these golden hours slip by lead to new experiences and different opportunities, possibly a more "golden" hour than you would've had. Life is all what you make it. If you take each moment seriously and choose your path, you will have lived life full of the golden hours.
I believe the golden hours are the key points in life. Every moment of your life you make decisions that can have a great impact. I already have quite a few golden hours. The day I arrived in my kindergarten class for the first time and met two of my best friends happens to be a golden moment. Taking a art class that led me to meeting the guy I would have a first real relationship with was also a significant time in my life. Taking mentoring and babysitting kids showed me my true calling as a teacher. Spending time with my family and with my friends all are golden moments. If you don't spend time doing the things you love, if you wait and think you have time, the golden hours will just slip by. Nobody lives forever, so if you live life to the fullest and learn to appreciate the golden hours, you will have lived life happily and wisely.

Barrie is saying the time that slips by is the time that we are enjoying ourselves the most. When we are lost in the moment and time doesn't matter. we are in the moment. This quote makes me think of another quote about time that is enjoyed is not wasted. This means that no matter what you are doing if you enjoy it it is worth while. I try to make every moment worthwhile and enjoyable. I'll be sitting in essay writing board and trying think what I should write about. Then I realize even though I would rather be somewhere else I still am happy to be their and can still enjoy my time when I doing things I don't want to do or being places that I don't want to be.
My golden hours are when I am doing something or with people. I think to myself there is nowhere else in the world I would rather be or anything other people I would rather be with. I savor how great that moment is. I always live believing that any hour can become a golden hour.
